Lesson 4: Connecting with Your Own Type and Other Types on the Internet
|
| Objective: To visit and interact with a type
community on the Internet
In this final lesson, you will explore and participate in a personality type community on the Internet. A wide range of options exist for joining with others of your own and other types. These include clubs, email lists, threaded discussion boards, Usenet groups, and Web rings. Through discussing your own experiences and reading the ideas of others, you can continue to grow in your knowledge and understanding of personality types and your relationships. Joining a type community is also an effective way to increase your appreciation of your differences from others. Note on Netiquette: Be sure to read any FAQs, guidelines, and rules of any group before participating. Also, it is important to realize that in most personality communities "type-bashing" (making negative statements about specific personality types or temperaments) is considered flaming and is usually prohibited.
